Our Philosophy

Bagicha — meaning “garden” — is where food, people, and stories grow together. Tucked into a sun-dappled corner of Park Street, we’re part neighbourhood cafe, part soulful Indian kitchen, and entirely a place that feels like yours.
Our menu is a love letter to Indian home cooking, reimagined without pretension. The dal still simmers for 18 hours. The naan still puffs up in a tandoor that’s been fired since morning. But alongside the classics, you’ll find cold brew coffee, sourdough toast, and a dessert counter that regularly causes people to cancel their diets.

Paneer Tikka
Tandoor-grilled cottage cheese marinated in smoky spices, served with mint chutney and pickled onions. Vegetarian comfort at its finest.
Kolkata-Style Chicken Wings
Our signature — tossed in a ketchup-chilli glaze that pays homage to the city’s street food spirit. Unapologetically messy.
Butter Chicken
The one you came for. Tender tandoori chicken in a silky tomato-cashew gravy with a whisper of fenugreek. Our most ordered dish — for good reason.
Kolkata Biryani
Fragrant basmati layered with aromatic spices, saffron, and a whole potato (yes, the potato matters). Dum-cooked in a sealed pot the way it was meant to be.
18-Hour Dal Makhani
Black lentils simmered overnight with cream and butter until impossibly rich. Pairs with literally everything. Vegetarian guests — this is your hero dish.
Malabar Fish Curry
Fresh bhetki in a coconut-curry leaf sauce with raw mango — coastal India on a plate. Light, aromatic, and deeply satisfying.
Tandoori Lamb Chops
Marinated 24 hours in our house spice blend, charred in the tandoor until the edges caramelize. Our chef’s proudest creation — and it shows.
Gulab Jamun Cheesecake
Our signature mashup — New York cheesecake meets rose-scented gulab jamun, finished with saffron crumble and pistachio dust. The dish people photograph before eating.
